Fernando Angulo / Alba Viticultores works in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where he focuses on old vineyards, albariza soils and the character of Palomino. Alba Viticultores grew from a small project built around local plots and old vines, and today it is centered on Fernando Angulo and Carmen Caballero. Angulo came to wine through a deep interest in Champagne and later turned that curiosity toward the vineyards of Sanlúcar and their own traditions.

What makes his work stand out is the idea that wine should be shaped as little as possible. Alba Viticultores is openly focused on zero-intervention or near-zero-intervention winemaking: no additives, no unnecessary correction, spontaneous fermentations, and wines bottled unfined and unfiltered, with little or no added sulfur depending on the cuvée. For Angulo, the goal is to let the soil, the vintage and the vineyard decide the style of the wine.

His wines also reflect a wish to recover another side of Sanlúcar: unfortified whites and ancestral sparkling wines made from Palomino, linked more closely to vineyard identity than to industrial cellar practice. Just as important is his respect for local growers, whose work in the vineyard he sees as the real foundation of great wine.
