La Charanga Blanco Ancestral is a sparkling white from Sanlúcar de Barrameda in Andalucía, made from Palomino grapes. The fruit comes from old vines in the La Charanga parcel, a detail that gives the wine a clear sense of place.
Before pressing, the grapes are dried for several weeks under the shade of the vines using the traditional asoleo method, which helps build ripeness and texture. The wine is then made in the ancestral style and rests for 18 months on its lees before disgorgement. Expect a lively sparkling wine with notes of ripe stone fruit, chalky minerality and a light bitter almond touch. It is a good choice for people who enjoy sparkling wines with character beyond simple freshness.
