Clos Lentiscus

Clos Lentiscus

Clos Lentiscus is the project of Manel Aviñó and his daughter Núria, based at the historic Can Ramon estate in Sant Pere de Ribes, in the Garraf hills near the Mediterranean. The family’s link to wine goes back centuries, but the estate was brought back to life in 2001, when Manel returned to recover this old property and work it in a more personal way. Today they farm biodynamically, without pesticides or herbicides, following the rhythm of the vineyard and the surrounding landscape. Their vines grow on limestone soils with marine fossils, with forest all around, which helps shape wines with a salty, herbal and very Mediterranean character. In the cellar, the idea is simple: native yeasts, very few interventions, and wines that speak clearly of place. Clos Lentiscus is especially known for its sparkling wines, a field where Manel has built a strong reputation, while Núria has become an important part of the winery’s present and future. It is a producer that combines family history, respect for nature and a clear natural-wine philosophy without losing a sense of precision.
