RR is a Riesling shown in a less usual way: as a skin-contact orange wine. After two weeks of maceration on the skins, the wine ferments with native yeasts and then rests for nearly two years in acacia and oak barrels, which gives it depth and texture.
The nose brings apricot jam, dried fruit and warm spice. On the palate, it feels layered, with notes of dried stone fruit, nuts and a clear mineral line. The finish is long, with a touch of black tea and gentle tannins that add grip without making the wine heavy.
This is a good bottle for anyone curious about orange wine and wanting to taste how Riesling can take on a more textured, savoury side.
