Medový Muškátek is an orange wine that shows a different side of Moravian Muscat. It is made with skin contact, which gives it more texture and depth than a classic aromatic white, while keeping the grape’s open and expressive character. The wine stands out for the use of a small amount of the estate’s own honey during fermentation, a detail that gives the name real meaning and adds another layer to the wine’s profile.
Expect notes of flowers, citrus, honey and dried apricot, with a lightly herbal, spicy edge. The grapes come from clay and loess soils, and the wine spends a long period aging on the lees, with regular stirring, which helps build a fuller feel and keeps the aromas vivid.
This is a dry, lively orange wine with both perfume and grip, suited to drinkers who enjoy characterful whites with a bit more shape and energy.
