La Cabane de Jeanne from Domaine Jefferies Bories is a distinctive, naturally-made white wine crafted in the volcanic soils of Caux, southern France. Produced by Joe Jefferies, an English winemaker deeply passionate about organic viticulture, this wine showcases an authentic expression of local grape varieties.
This wine is an aromatic blend of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Terret Blanc, and Terret Rosé grapes, harvested by hand. The Marsanne grapes undergo a 9-day skin maceration, while other varieties are directly pressed, all naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts. It matures gently for 11 months on lees, developing complexity and depth without added sulfites.
Expect inviting aromas reminiscent of summer woods, mushrooms, raspberry tea, and kiwi skins, combined with an appealing mineral character drawn from the ancient basaltic soils. Refreshing and balanced, La Cabane de Jeanne is perfect to enjoy casually while immersed in creative activities or simply relaxing. Each vintage uniquely reflects the characteristics of the year, promising a slightly different but equally delightful experience every time.
