Orange Sauvignon

Orange Sauvignon is a Slovenian take on Sauvignon Blanc with an orange twist. The grapes come from the hills of Štajerska/Podravje and are grown organically, then picked by hand and fermented naturally with no additives.
Instead of the classic very green, grassy style, the juice stays with the skins for about 9–10 days. This gentle maceration turns the wine a golden-amber colour and gives it more body, a touch of ripe tropical fruit and a light spicy edge, while keeping the grape’s fresh aroma.
The wine then rests for around six months on its lees in stainless steel, which adds a smooth texture without heaviness. It’s an easy way to explore orange wine: characterful yet very drinkable. Great on its own as an apéritif and also tasty with charcuterie or lighter fish dishes.
