Ryšák is a distinctly Czech Moravian style: white and red grapes are harvested and made together, creating a wine that sits naturally between rosé and a very light red. Jaroslav Osička blends Pinot Gris with Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt, giving a lively mix of citrus brightness and juicy red-fruit notes like cherry and forest berries. A short time on the skins adds a gentle texture and a slightly wild edge, without making the wine heavy.
Made with spontaneous fermentation and a hands-off approach, it’s left unfined and unfiltered and rested on fine lees for extra softness. Serve it lightly chilled and treat it like the flexible bottle it is—great with picnic food, salads, grilled vegetables, or simple BBQ plates.
