Campeonisimo Orange Ancestral

Campeonísimo Orange Ancestral is a sparkling wine from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, made from Palomino grapes, the grape best known from the sherry area. It comes from the Campeonísimo vineyard in Pago Miraflores and is made by the ancestral method: the wine is bottled before fermentation is fully finished, so the bubbles form naturally inside the bottle.

What makes this wine stand out is its long rest on the lees, around 100 months, which gives the bubbles a finer feel and adds depth without making the wine heavy. Expect a dry, savoury profile with notes of citrus peel, orange, chalk, sea salt and a light toasted touch. It is a natural, unfiltered style, so it may feel a little different from classic sparkling wines. Serve it as an aperitif, or try it with seafood, salty snacks or simple tapas.
