Duarte is a distinctive red wine crafted by Verónica Romero in the Utiel-Requena region of Valencia, Spain. Made from a thoughtful blend of 60% Bobal and 40% Tempranillo grapes, this wine comes from 35-year-old vines planted on sandy soils mixed with pebbles. What makes Duarte special is its unique winemaking approach: the Tempranillo grapes undergo carbonic fermentation for 10 days with whole bunches, enhancing freshness and fruity aromas, while the Bobal grapes ferment with skins for three days, enriching its depth and texture. The blend matures gently for 5 months in stainless steel tanks without added sulfites, filtration, or clarification.
In the glass, Duarte reveals vibrant violet hues. Floral notes reminiscent of violets, herbal hints, and fresh currants rise from the glass, followed by ripe red fruit flavors in the mouth, balanced by bright acidity and smooth tannins. Duarte offers a genuine, naturally expressive wine experience.
