Rapagón Burbujas is a sparkling wine from Málaga made mainly from Pedro Ximénez, with a small part of Moscatel de Alejandría. It comes from vineyards in Mollina, in the Valle de Antequera, where clay, iron and limestone soils help give the wine its Mediterranean character.
The wine is made by the ancestral method: it is bottled near the end of fermentation, so the bubbles form naturally inside the bottle. After that, it spends 24 months on lees, which adds texture and a more rounded feel. This is a good choice for anyone looking for a sparkling wine with Andalusian roots, natural energy and a style that is different from classic Champagne-method wines.
