This Pinot Gris is the first release of the variety from MIRA, and it shows a clear, confident style from the start. The grapes come from a 25-year-old vineyard on clay-loess soil, which gives the wine both freshness and a quiet sense of depth. After harvest, the fruit was pressed directly, then the wine aged in a mix of old barrels and concrete tank.
In the glass, it feels light on its feet, with lively energy, a mineral edge and the subtle herbal touch that is natural to Pinot Gris. The cellar work stays very gentle: spontaneous fermentation, no fining, no filtration and no added sulphur at bottling. The result is a clean, vivid white that feels elegant rather than heavy, with enough texture and character to keep it interesting from the first sip to the last.
