Jabalina is a Rioja Alavesa rosé made from Tempranillo grown in the “La Cantera” plot in Labastida, at around 600 metres above sea level. The clay-limestone soils and high-altitude setting help give the wine a fresh, clear profile.
The grapes are picked and sorted by hand, then directly pressed and fermented with native yeasts. Instead of oak, the wine spends 6 months in stainless steel on its fine lees, which gives it a little more body and a smooth texture without hiding the fruit. It is a serious but easy-to-enjoy rosé, with the character of Rioja seen from a more personal, small-scale angle.
