Brutal Gold by Escoda-Sanahuja is a red wine made entirely from Sumoll, a grape closely connected with Catalonia. It belongs to the Brutal Gold line, which keeps the spirit of the original Brutal Wine idea: free, experimental wines made with a natural approach.
The Brutal label was born in 2010 after a lively tasting between winemakers, where the Catalan word “brutal” was used again and again to mean something like “amazing” or “really good.” Over time, the gold-lettered version became a way to mark wines connected with the original group and their more sincere vision of natural wine.
This is a wine with a strong identity, made for people who enjoy bottles with a story behind them.
