La Cabane by Domaine de la Touraize is a red wine made from the local Jura grape Poulsard (also called Ploussard), grown on marl soils in the vineyards of La Touraize and Petit Curoulet. These vines, aged between 30 and 50 years, are cultivated with great care using organic and biodynamic practices—without pesticides or herbicides, and only natural preparations like copper, sulfur, and silica.
The grapes are hand-harvested and manually destemmed before undergoing natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. No additives are used during vinification except a small amount of sulfur at bottling. The wine is aged 6 to 9 months in large barrels or tanks to preserve its freshness and delicacy, and it is bottled without filtration.
La Cabane reveals light, transparent color and an expressive profile. Depending on the vintage, it offers notes of fresh red fruit or shifts toward darker berries with herbal touches like bay leaf and rosemary. It's a wine designed for pleasure and pairs perfectly with smoked charcuterie from the Jura or any relaxed gathering.
