Contrappunto

Contrappunto is a bright, medium-bodied red wine crafted from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Tuscany. These two varieties are harvested at a similar ripeness, then vinified together using spontaneous fermentation. Cabernet is pressed directly to avoid excess tannins, while the Sangiovese is destemmed, creating a balanced harmony reminiscent of the musical concept of “contrappunto,” where two distinct melodies form a new, unified composition. A year-long aging in stainless steel preserves its vibrant freshness, and the wine is bottled without filtration. Light notes of violet and red fruit reflect the Sangiovese, while the Cabernet adds soft herbal hints. Thanks to its gentle structure and lively acidity, Contrappunto can be enjoyed slightly chilled or at room temperature, making it a versatile companion for everyday meals or simply on its own.
