Biancotunia is a Tuscan white made from Trebbiano and Vermentino, two grapes that ripen at different times and bring different sides to the wine. The Vermentino is picked earlier, while the Trebbiano is harvested later, then both are fermented in steel to keep the wine clear in expression and easy to enjoy.
A short contact with the grape skins, about three days, gives the wine a little more texture and depth without making it heavy. It is fermented with native yeasts and bottled unfiltered and unfined, so it keeps a natural, direct character.
In the glass, expect freshness, a lively salty note and a smooth, flowing sip. It works well as an aperitif, with finger food, light pasta dishes, seasonal vegetables and simple everyday cooking. Serve it well chilled in warm weather, or just a little less cold when the season is cooler.
