La Femme d'Argent is a truly distinctive wine from Andalucía. It’s a clarete made from Palomino and Syrah, two grapes you don’t often see blended together—especially not like this. What makes it even more unusual is the aging process. Both wines mature separately under a veil of flor, a natural yeast more commonly used in sherry production. This creates complex flavors not often found in reds.
The Palomino brings brightness and saline notes, while the Syrah adds red fruit, spice, and a hint of black olive. The result is a fresh, lively wine with a crisp texture and a surprising mineral edge. It’s also the first red "vino de pasto" aged under flor to come out of Jerez—a real pioneer in its category.
If you’re looking for something different but approachable, La Femme d'Argent offers a unique glimpse into the innovative side of Spanish winemaking. Serve it slightly chilled to bring out its bright and savory character.
