Penhó Verbum Arinto is an orange wine with distinctive character, crafted from the Arinto grape in the Vinho Verde region of Northern Portugal. Known as a "curtimenta" wine, it undergoes skin contact similar to red wine production, resulting in its unique amber hue. The wine offers an inviting nutty aroma balanced by fresh acidity, making it pleasantly drinkable and food-friendly.
Traditionally foot-trodden, this wine spent an extensive 9 months in stainless steel tanks with grape skins, followed by aging in old French oak barrels. Produced organically with minimal intervention—no filtration, stabilization, or added chemicals apart from minimal sulfur—Verbum Arinto genuinely showcases the authentic and natural essence of the grape.
