Mea Orange

Mea Orange is a sparkling orange Pét-Nat made from 100% Riesling, coming from the cool hills of Štajerska/Podravje in Slovenia. The wine spends 22 days on the skins in clay amphora before bottling, which gives it its deep golden-orange colour, cloudy appearance and a touch of gentle grip on the palate.
In the glass you can expect ripe apple and pear, notes of yellow and exotic fruit, a hint of honey and yeast, plus herbal and earthy tones that come from the amphora ageing. Despite the rich flavours, the wine is completely dry, with lively Riesling acidity that keeps it fresh and very drinkable.
Mea Orange is bottled without fining, filtration or any added sulphur, so it is a pure expression of grape and place. It is a great choice if you enjoy natural wines, like to explore new styles, or want a characterful sparkling bottle for an aperitif or a relaxed evening with friends.
