Bianco by Lammidia is the wine that has accompanied the project since its beginnings in Villa Celiera, a mountain village in Abruzzo. Made entirely from Trebbiano, it is harvested slightly early to keep its lively freshness. The vineyard sits at 600 meters above sea level, surrounded by woods and olive trees, with views of both the sea and the mountains, which adds to its special character.
Though called Bianco, this is an orange wine: the Trebbiano skins, which turn pink when ripe, stay in contact with the juice for about two weeks. This gives the wine a pale amber tone, light tannins, and a touch of structure. Fermentation is carried out with natural yeasts and no additions, staying true to Lammidia’s hands-off approach. The result is a wine with citrusy notes like mandarin, a gentle bitter edge, and mineral depth from the limestone soils.
Bianco is versatile at the table, pairing well with seafood, fried dishes, or fresh cheeses, but it can also be enjoyed on its own, as a refreshing and characterful glass.
