Kolónia 52 Lime is a fresh Hungarian white blend made from Riesling and Furmint. The grapes come from volcanic basalt soils: the Riesling from Raposka on Szent György-hill, and the Furmint from an organic vineyard on Ság-hegy. This volcanic origin gives the wine a clear mineral line, while the two grapes bring floral notes and lively acidity.
The grapes are direct pressed, fermented together, then aged on the lees in large barrels and a small amphora. This gives the wine more texture without making it heavy. Expect a bright, citrus-like profile with flowers, crisp green fruit, and a stony finish. It is easy to enjoy as an aperitif, but also works well with fresh seafood, crunchy salads, fried dishes, or mildly spicy food.
