Negiro is a red wine that puts Moristel in the spotlight, supported by a touch of Grenache. It’s made in Huesca (Aragón), and the name is a small clue to its spirit: a nod to “going back to the origin” (it plays with the word origen).
The wine spends around 12 months in 500L barrels, which tends to soften the palate and add quiet spice without turning the wine into an “oak bomb.” The vineyards’ calcareous, silty soils bring a firm, slightly stony feel that keeps it fresh and food-friendly.
A good pick if you want something that sits comfortably between classic red wine and a more natural, free style.
