Eido da Salgosa Rosal is a unique white wine crafted by Cazapitas Winery in Galicia. Made mainly from Albariño grapes, it also includes small amounts of Loureiro, Treixadura, Cagarrucho, and Caíño, harvested at different times to respect their ripening stages. This wine is aged on lees, which gives it more body and complexity. Although it’s produced outside the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin, this allows for greater creative freedom in its making. Only 600 bottles are made each year, making it quite exclusive.
On the palate, it offers citrus flavors, baked apple, and a subtle sparkle. Aromas of wildflowers, chamomile, and sweet pear add to its character. It pairs well with seafood, rice dishes, and shellfish like lobster and spider crab. Best enjoyed chilled between 9°C and 11°C.
