Denavolo Mansano is an orange wine from Piacenza made with old-vine Sauvignon Blanc. The vines are grown at around 350 meters on clay-limestone soils, producing a lively expression of fruit. After harvest, the grapes are lightly crushed, spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts, and left in contact with their skins for three months, giving the wine its characteristic amber hue and subtle tannic structure. Unfiltered and without added sulfites, it maintains a fresh and vibrant character, revealing layers of citrus, light floral hints, and an appealing saline touch. This minimal-intervention approach results in a wine that feels natural and honest, with a fine balance between freshness and texture. It’s a unique version of Sauvignon Blanc that highlights the local terroir and offers a delightful taste of Piacenza’s winemaking heritage.
