Dinavolino is an expressive orange wine born in the limestone-rich hills near Piacenza. It’s crafted from a blend of Malvasia di Candia, Ortrugo, Marsanne, and a mix of local white grapes. Unlike its “big sibling” Dinavolo, this wine comes from vines rooted in a slightly deeper layer of soil, yielding plump, juicy berries that bring a fresh, generous fruit character.
After an early harvest, the grapes soak on their skins for about six months, followed by aging in stainless steel without filtration or added sulfites. This patient approach shapes a vibrant, lightly tannic wine with lively acidity. Expect bright citrus flavors, gentle herbal notes, and subtle hints of yellow stone fruit. The result is both playful and structured, offering a crisp, intriguing sip that stays approachable. If you’re curious about orange wines or just want something deliciously different, Dinavolino is a memorable and refreshing choice.
