La Fassina Trepat is a special expression of the native Trepat grape from Conca de Barberà, grown in high-altitude vineyards dating back to 1919 and 1940. These mountain plots reach up to 700 meters, where the vines thrive on clay, calcareous, and stony soils under organic and partial biodynamic practices. Wild animals roaming the area make the late harvest challenging, but the result is worth it: grapes are carefully hand-picked and then fermented in clay amphora, allowing for a gentle extraction and preserving delicate aromas. The extended maceration and aging on lees lend depth and texture, while the cool nights at altitude help maintain freshness. This is a red wine with bright fruit, subtle spice, and a crisp balance that showcases the region’s winemaking heritage in a truly authentic way.
