Bera Vittorio Baravantan is a unique take on the classic Muscat Blanc, crafted by renowned producer Bera Vittorio & Figli in Piedmont, Italy. Unlike traditional sweet Muscats, Baravantan is notably dry, with very minimal sugar, creating a refreshing and crisp drinking experience. The wine presents delightful notes of citrus, white flowers, and hints of exotic tropical fruits, making it lively and aromatic.
The grapes come from organically farmed, 18-year-old vines grown on a distinctive mix of sandstone and marine marl soils, which enhance the wine's complexity and freshness. Each grape is hand-picked, gently pressed in whole bunches, and undergoes an exceptionally slow natural fermentation process lasting nearly a year. Following fermentation, the wine ages for another year before bottling. Minimal intervention, with no filtration or fining and only a tiny addition of sulphur, ensures the wine's natural purity and authentic taste. Baravantan offers wine enthusiasts an exciting opportunity to explore the Muscat grape in a whole new, naturally expressive form.
