Bodega Tinaha
Bodega Tinaha is a small family project from Abarán, in Murcia, close to the Sierra de la Pila. It was started by Lorenzo Boris, a chemical engineer and oenologist, with a clear idea: to make natural wines from his own region and to support a more sustainable way of farming.
The project began with the wish to recover old vineyards around Abarán and the Ricote Valley. These vineyards are part of the local landscape and are often worked by small growers who know the land well. Tinaha’s work gives new value to these vines and to native Mediterranean varieties, especially Monastrell, a grape that suits the dry, warm climate of Murcia.
In the cellar, Lorenzo keeps the process simple. The wines are made with low intervention and aged in clay tinajas, traditional Spanish amphorae. This method allows the wine to develop without heavy influence from oak or unnecessary additions. The idea is not to shape the wine too much, but to let the grape, the soil, and the vintage speak clearly.
Tinaha’s wines are honest, fresh, and rooted in their place. They are made for people who enjoy wine with a story, but without too much complication.
