Victoria Torres Las Migas is a natural white wine from Fuencaliente, on the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands. It is made from 100% Listán Blanco grown in old, ungrafted vines from small plots in the south of the island, at around 400 to 700 metres above sea level. The volcanic soils, mixed in places with clay, and the Atlantic influence give the wine a clear mineral and saline character.
The winemaking is simple and low-intervention: the grapes are harvested by hand, half of the wine is made with skin contact, and the rest is pressed directly. Fermentation happens with native yeasts in concrete tanks, where the wine also ages on its lees for 10 months. In the glass, Las Migas is deep and fresh, with floral notes, light herbal and spicy touches, and a clean, mineral finish. It is a distinctive choice for anyone curious about island whites with texture and energy.
