This is an orange wine made from Moscatel grapes, grown in the Sierra de Gredos mountains of Spain. It’s crafted by Pequeños y Salvajes using a traditional method with tinaja clay amphorae, where the wine ferments and ages under a natural layer of flor yeast. This process gives the wine a savory, slightly salty character, balancing the usual floral and fruity notes of Muscat.
You’ll notice flavors of white blossom, peach, green pepper, almonds, and walnuts. Before aging, the amphorae are cleaned with a herbal infusion, which may subtly influence the wine’s complex taste.
