The Prince is a natural orange wine from Slovenia’s Štajerska area, made from Furmint, known locally as Šipon. The grapes spend a short time on their skins, giving the wine its warm amber colour, light grip and extra texture, while keeping it fresh and easy to drink. It is unfiltered, so a gentle haze is part of its character.
The wine is partly raised in concrete eggs and amphorae, which adds a quiet earthy note behind the fruit. Expect soft tropical tones, pear, white melon and citrus, with a small hint of apricot. Its fresh acidity and soft tannins make it a flexible bottle for grilled fish, roasted vegetables, Asian-inspired dishes or creamy cheeses.
