Planals represents a unique approach to winemaking, combining red and white grape varieties: Red Grenache, Grey Grenache, Macabeo, and Muscat of Alexandria. The grapes are traditionally foot-crushed whole to avoid semi-carbonic maceration, followed by a gentle 5-day infusion without pumping over. The wine then ages for 7 months in Austrian oak foudres and concrete tanks. This natural wine is bottled without fining, filtering, or added sulfites. Pairs well with meat rice dishes.
