Matassa Blanco comes from exceptionally old vines (30-115 years) growing in slate soils of Roussillon, where Mediterranean and Pyrenean influences meet. This natural white wine blends Grey Grenache (70%) and Macabeo (30%), yielding only 15 hectoliters per hectare. The wine matures for 14 months on lees in large wooden vats and barrels without stirring. This process creates a wine with white fruit notes, spices, and distinct mineral character from its terroir.
