Veltliner from Těšetice is a natural Grüner Veltliner that shows the grape in a very pure way. The grapes come from the Stará vinice vineyard near Znojmo and are pressed as whole bunches, then left to ferment on their own yeasts. The wine is made in Moravian terracotta amphorae, where it also matures on its lees, without filtration, clarification or any added sulfur. Because of this, it keeps a light haze in the glass – a normal sign of a minimally worked wine.
In the aroma and taste you’ll find green apple, lime peel and fresh herbs, with earthy notes coming from the time in amphora. On the palate it is lively and mineral, with a gentle peppery touch typical for Grüner Veltliner and a subtle salty line that makes you want another sip. Serve chilled at about 10–12 °C with fresh goat cheese, roasted vegetables or simple dishes with herbs, and it will feel right at home on the table.
