Rosso Anfora from Lammidia is a fresh take on Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. The grapes are hand-destemmed, gently pressed with the feet, and fermented with native yeasts in concrete before aging for about 10 months in terracotta amphorae. This traditional vessel brings out a lively side of the variety, highlighting flavors of cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, and sour cherry.
The winemaking is natural from start to finish: no added sulfites, no filtering, and no fining, which keeps the wine pure and expressive. A short skin contact and careful extraction give soft, well-integrated tannins while preserving freshness and drinkability.
Rosso Anfora shows that Montepulciano can be both structured and easygoing, offering a fruit-forward, crisp sip that works beautifully with a wide range of foods—from cured meats and white meats to richer fish dishes. It’s a straightforward, honest wine that reflects both the land of Abruzzo and Lammidia’s playful, hands-on approach.
