Plazma from Kolónia 52 is a white blend that brings together four of Hungary’s traditional grape varieties: Furmint, Hárslevelű, Welschriesling (Olaszrizling) and Juhfark. The winemaking combines different approaches: Juhfark was gently pressed and matured in large oak barrels for seven months, while the other three varieties spent five days fermenting on their skins before also resting in oak. This gives the wine both freshness and texture, while highlighting the character of each grape. Made from organically farmed grapes and bottled with minimal intervention, Plazma offers a vivid taste of the Nagy-Somló region’s volcanic soils and its long winemaking tradition.
