O Charraire by Jorge Olivera is a red blend of Red Garnacha, Syrah, and Tempranillo from the rugged Sobrarbe area in Aragon, Spain—a region with a long-lost winemaking tradition. This wine reflects a return to those roots, crafted by mechanical engineer-turned-winemaker Jorge Olivera, who revived vineyards on his family’s land after decades of abandonment.
The wine undergoes maceration during fermentation and is aged for one year in oak barrels. Made without added sulphites, it follows a minimal-intervention approach with native yeasts and no filtration or clarification. The result is a fresh and expressive red that speaks of its land and history.
The name O Charraire, meaning “the talker” in the local Aragonese dialect, honors the storytelling nature of wine in village life—just like this bottle tells the story of Sobrarbe’s revival.
