Esteban Celemín Palomino is an orange wine from D.O. Toro made from Palomino, a white grape that in this part of Castile and León is often known locally as “jerez”. Its colour and gentle grip come from extended contact with the grape skins, giving it more texture than a usual white wine.
It is fermented and aged in used barriques, with no sulphur added. The style stays light for an orange wine, with notes of rose petal, a touch of cherry, stone fruit and a fresh, slightly chalky finish. A good choice if you want to try a skin-contact wine that has character but is still easy to enjoy.
