Lousas Rosende is a Tenerife red from D.O. Ycoden-Daute-Isora, where volcanic ground and ocean air often give wines a clear, mineral edge. The blend combines Mencía and Merenzao for bright fruit and lift, while Alicante Bouschet brings extra structure and a darker note without making the wine heavy. Expect a fresh, balanced profile with red berries, subtle herbal hints, and a dry, stony finish that feels very “Atlantic” in character.
Try it slightly cool and pair it with grilled lamb, roast vegetables, mushrooms, or tuna dishes. It’s enjoyable now after a short decant, and it can also reward a few years of cellaring.
