Benje Blanco comes from Santiago del Teide in the Canary Islands, where vines aged 60-120 years grow in volcanic soil at 1,000 meters altitude. The wine's name "Benje" means "crater" in the aboriginal Guanche language, paying tribute to a unique winemaking region where no other wineries remain today. It is produced by Envínate, a project founded by four enologists who met while studying in 2004, focusing on creating wines that express their distinctive terroirs.
