Patrick Bouju Super B is a red Gamay from Beaujolais, linked to Brouilly and the Pisse Vieille vineyard. The grapes grow on pink granite soils, a detail that helps give the wine its clear fruit character and firm shape. It is made with a low-intervention approach: hand-harvested grapes, whole-bunch maceration, native yeasts, and ageing in sandstone amphora with stainless steel.
In the glass, it shows a deeper, riper side of Gamay, with raspberry and red fruit notes that can move towards more savoury hints of earth and tomato. The texture is smooth, with tannins that feel well integrated rather than heavy. This is a good choice if you like Beaujolais with more depth and structure. It works especially well with slow-cooked food, such as beef stew, mushrooms, or game dishes.
