Catavela is an energetic orange wine born from young vines grown on steep, limestone-rich slopes. Crafted with a core of Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Ortrugo, Marsanne, and a handful of nearly forgotten local grapes, it reflects a centuries-old tradition carried through these indigenous varieties—some said to have arrived with Napoleon’s troops. After a careful hand harvest, the grapes rest on their skins for just seven days, allowing spontaneous fermentation to tease out bright fruit and herbal aromas. No filtration, fining, or sulfur is used, preserving the wine’s raw and authentic soul.

Bone-dry and delicate, Catavela balances its crisp, linear structure with a juicy finish that leaves you reaching for another sip. Expect subtle stony, saline nuances beneath its lively fruit core. It’s a truly refreshing and approachable take on skin-contact winemaking, offering a taste of natural purity and a vibrant link to the area’s vinicultural heritage.
