Noir de Méandre is a Blanc de Noirs Champagne made from Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grown in a large bend of the River Marne near Charly-sur-Marne. Its name refers to this river meander, where erosion and sedimentation have shaped soils with limestone and alluvial deposits, giving the wine its lively, fruit-focused character.
Half of the wine is aged in wooden barrels on fine lees, which adds body and a smoother texture, while long ageing in bottle brings more depth. The Extra Brut dosage keeps the style fresh and precise without feeling austere.
In the glass, expect a golden colour with copper hints and fine bubbles. The aromas move from yellow peach, fresh grape juice and apricot jam to honey and cherry notes. On the palate it is full yet bright, with raspberry and lemon flavours that make it especially enjoyable as an aperitif.
