Boyka is a fresh and honest red made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, inspired by the classic Bordeaux mix but presented in a more relaxed, easy-drinking style. The grapes come from a 40-year-old vineyard in Katuntsi and ferment naturally, with no added yeasts and no added sulfites.
The berries are left uncrushed, which helps preserve bright fruit and a lively character. After fermentation, the wine stays on its lees in stainless steel, with no oak, no fining and no filtration. This keeps the wine direct and expressive, with notes of cherry and small red fruits, gentle texture and a natural feel in the glass.
A good choice for simple, tasty food such as red meat, cured meats or pasta.
