Years later it was found again, tasted with caution, and bottled under a name that plays on the Italian phrase “better late than never”.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eMade from organic grapes, it spent a long time on the skins, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in a barrique that was not topped up, giving the wine a deep, oxidative character. Although late-harvest wines often suggest sweetness, this one is dry, warm and full on the palate. Expect an intense golden colour, with flavours of dried fruit, candied citrus and Mediterranean herbs.
